Heather Raznick

St. Louis area psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Heather Raznick began her career in social work when she entered Stephen's College to pursue a self-initiated triple major in Psychology, Child Study, and Sociology. During the course of her work at Stephen's College, Heather Raznick completed an internship designing and teaching parenting courses for female inmates at the Renz Correctional Center. She graduated with high honors in 1992, and began working at Reality House, a facility that provided an alternative to prison for male felons, as a Program and Treatment Advisor. Heather Raznick acquired her Substance Abuse Counselor Certification while working with Reality House.

At the same time as she was working, Heather Raznick was attending Washington University in pursuit of a Masters in Social Work degree. As a part of her training, she studied clinical sex therapy under Dr. William Masters, one of the namesakes of the Masters and Johnson Institute. At the Institute, she performed co-therapy with Dr. Masters regularly until he retired. In 1993, she moved from Reality House to the local St. Vincent De Paul Hospital and became a Dual Diagnosis Director and Mental Health Counselor there. She received her MSW with a sexuality specialization from Washington University in 1994.

Heather Raznick first worked for St. John's Mercy Medical Center from 1995 until 2001 as a member of the Counseling Center. While working at St. John's Mercy, she also went into business for herself as a psychotherapist, offering a wide range of counseling services and specializing in sex therapy. Today, Heather Raznick continues to work as a respected psychotherapist. She often provides her expertise in sex therapy to newspapers, television stations, and radio programs in the St. Louis area. She now lectures regularly at St. John's Mercy as a member of the faculty, providing training to graduate students, as well as continuing education Grand Rounds at various local hospitals. She lives with her two daughters and enjoys wine tasting, socializing, writing, and exercising in her spare time. She supports many area nonprofit organizations.
