Heather Subba

Silicon Valley, California

Born in the Midwest, Heather Subba has always been interested in how humans learn and how they express themselves through the written word. After earning her undergraduate degree in International Relations, Heather Subba taught English as a Second Language in Japan, Central Mexico, and in the inner city of Chicago. The combined pursuits of teaching and traveling helped solidify Subba’s interests, character, and career path.

After these diverse experiences, Subba returned to graduate school in order to study Applied Linguistics and to develop an expertise and foundational knowledge base in the teaching of English as a Second Language. While studying Applied Linguistics, she was awarded a full fellowship to work with second language learners in selected Head Start Programs. Post graduation, she juggled teaching ESL at night and on the weekends with a publishing career.

Outside of her professional interests, Heather Subba enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with loved ones. She is a frequent contributor to interfaithfamily.com and maintains an active interest in the pursuit of continual learning.
