Heidi Frey

A lifelong entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in such fields as law, health care, and retail sales, Heidi Frey currently serves as the President of Mighty Oak Medical, Inc. in Englewood, Colorado. Commanding an impressive background, Heidi Frey built the academic foundation for her career at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.


While attending Smith, Heidi Frey studied a broad range of topics, ultimately narrowing her focus to economics and government. An exceptional student at Smith, Heidi Frey earned a prize for best thesis, graduating cum laude with distinction in economics. She subsequently earned admission to Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.


Over the course of three years, Heidi Frey continued to build on her exemplary scholastic record, graduating cum laude with her Juris Doctorate in 1986. After graduating from Georgetown Law, Heidi Frey relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she pursued a multifaceted legal career, commencing with an Associate position at Hopkins & Sutter (now part of Foley & Lardner LLP) in 1986.


A dedicated litigator and member of the legal team at Hopkins & Sutter, Heidi Frey developed expertise in employment and health care law, with a particular emphasis on the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Originally based at Hopkins & Sutter’s headquarters in Chicago, Heidi Frey eventually moved to Colorado and worked in the firm’s Denver branch office. She earned a promotion to Partner prior to leaving Hopkins & Sutter in 1995. Heidi Frey subsequently explored a wide variety of entrepreneurial endeavors in entertainment and health care.


After serving for two years as founder and Chief Executive Officer of a children’s sing-along troupe, Crocodile Rock, Heidi Frey sold her interest in the company. She subsequently founded Patient Advocacy Coalition, providing legal and administrative assistance to Colorado residents denied coverage by their health insurance companies.
