I am a software engineer with a background in Ruby on Rails, Java, and JEE. I love everything Apple and love to develop on iMac 5k! I am originally from the wine region of South Africa and lived on an acreage near the town of Paarl. In 1999 my family and I moved to Canada, first to Calgary, Alberta, where we lived for almost 13 years. In the summer of 2011, we moved to a small village, Shemogue, NB, on the east coast of Canada where we produced organic vegetables and berries. I love photography and hiking, and in my spare time, I read anything I can lay my hands on.
