I dream to one day break the material bonds I have created for myself and help those that have been less fortunate, those who have been mistreated, those who feel lost and need a helping hand. I also dream to rescue all the abandoned dogs I can and provide them warmth, safety, and a home. Not all dreams come true but I try to make the best of what I have done and what I hope to do.

As a kid in the late 1980s and early 1990s I looked for adventure and a way to get out of the house. I ventured off on the bike and eventually gave a try at road racing. I was not real successful, but everything I did, I did on my own and that was most important. It became the foundation of my adult life.

Being outdoors, exploring, going fast, taking risks and pushing myself to physical limits was a once forgotten passion. I lost my way during college and when I started a regular career. As I have gotten older I have realized that my career only fulfills the need for financial stability and to live life I need to do that on my own. So on my birthday in February 2008, I made a commitment to myself. I committed to put myself and my personal life well above my work life. With this commitment I got back on my bike and got into shape.

The 2010 mountain bike season was my first real try at a full season of mountain bike racing after participating and finishing the 2009 Leadville Trail 100 MTB Race. After a huge learning curve and reasonable success in 2010, I grew my racing experience with Epic Endurance Cycling, got a podium, a top 10 finish, and became a Cat 1 MTB racer. Since then I've raced with several local club teams, gathered some nice sponsorship deals, and just had fun. My motto has been, if I can't smile while racing or riding, why am I doing it?

Now I practice a life work balance. I race in about a dozen endurance mountain bike races a year. My current favorite is the Breck Epic 6 Day Stage Race.
