I umpired nine seasons from A-ball to Triple-A across the Pioneer, South Atlantic, California, Arizona Instructional, Texas, Venezuela Winter and Pacific Coast Leagues of Professional Baseball, and currently umpire NCAA Division I Baseball.
After nearly a decade working in unforgettable offices in ballparks coast-to-coast, a new, even more more unique career presented itself to me. In 2015, I started a business designed to bring a sports official's alternative view of the game over to player development, coaching staffs and fans, Official Business, LLC.
Official Business continues to push forward, partnering with premier catching and other player development across the country, and more recently reaching across international borders to umpire and help instruct other umpires via the @LukeBrianTour.
Official Business will continue to develop programs to bridge the gap between sports officials, coaching staffs, players, and spectators at both the amateur and professional levels.
By creating professional relationships between officials and athletes we strive to build values and integrity in sport through respect and innovation. By providing this unique perspective, we will be able to establish working relationships that will strengthen the development of a player’s game at any level.
