Since 2012, Adrienne Hiegel has been an independent consultant for web and mobile application developers who are working to increase the efficiency of government services. Adrienne Hiegel also contributes to fundraising efforts of local and national politicians, provides career guidance to homeless individuals in transition, and manages the fundraising for a not-for-profit music institution.

Prior to her current endeavors in the Chicago area, Adrienne Hiegel earned a degree in literary theory from Brown University. She went on to earn a master’s degree in English literature and a juris doctor from Columbia University. After graduation, she began her career as a lawyer with the City of Chicago. She was responsible for affirmative action, fair housing rights, and race discrimination litigation proceedings. After her time in private practice at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw, where she contributed to large-scale corporate class-action lawsuits, Adrienne Hiegel served as a senior policy advisor and operational manager in various offices in the City of Chicago, such as Chicago’s Transit Authority, Office of Budget and Management, and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications. She also worked for the mayor as deputy chief of staff.
