Hussein Mahrouq

Hussein Mahrouq is the owner of a number of automotive companies that serve the Arlington and Central Texas region. Mahrouq studied communications and public relations and minored in business at the University of Texas at Arlington. He was academically successful in college, making the Dean's List on several occasions in addition to being an honors student.

In 1991, Hussein Mahrouq embarked on a career in automotive sales with the founding of Mahrouq Enterprises International, Inc. (MEI). Mahrouq operates Automax, Dollar Rent A Car Auto Sales, a Dollar Rent A Car rental franchise, a financing company, and an inspection service station. Customers can choose from a wide variety of pre-owned vehicles, as well as new models from brands such as Ford, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and Hyundai. Combined, these companies produce more than $20 million in income. Mahrouq's new and used car dealerships often make use of his financing company to offer his customers a "buy here, pay here" option, in the event that they have difficulty receiving financing from other sources.

Mahrouq has sought to expand his automotive business to offer a full suite of services to his customers. This has included an auto repair component and a state inspection component called A Quick Inspection.

In addition to his business enterprises, Hussein Mahrouq has been a regular donor to the Oakridge school, the Boys and Girls Club of Arlington and the Al-Hedayah Academy. The Al-Hedayah Academy is a school that seeks to instill the moral and ethical values of Islam while providing an educational and social experience fully compliant with all federal and state guidelines.
