Ian H Bates

Ian has over 30 years’ experience within the paperboard, packaging and media industries. He has worked for a number of international organisations, including Metsäboard, D.S. Smith Plc and AssiDomän. He has also been involved with several start-ups and smaller companies, including The Less Packaging Company, PortaBrands, Reelbrands & Fibrepac (fibrepac.com). He’s also a director of Two Sides (twosides.info) - the global non-profit, which helps the paper, packaging and tissue sectors with greenwash-free communications.

Ian is often invited to give talks to industry leaders and education on a range of topics including the environment, packaging and material innovations.
