There are a lot of reasons that one must eat healthy. A lot of research was done and it came out that eating right foods increases fertility amongst males. Eating wrong or bad food has a direct correlation with low sperm count amongst males, however if you are consuming the right foods in your diet, you will definitely have a stronger sperm count.

A study was conducted by International Assisted Reproduction Center (IARC)on Danish men. As per this study, different diets were provided to different group of people. About half of the men were provided with a diet which included foods having a large amount of saturated fats. The main ingredients which were included in these meals were fatty meats, processed foods and cheese as well. If we are normally consuming a meal with all these items present in it, we already know that we are close to acquiring diabetes and becoming obese over time, but these are not the only problems which one would be facing, there will also be low sperm count in men consuming these meals.

The men who did not consume foods with saturated fats had a sperm count of 41 percent whereas the ones, who had saturated fats in their meals, were having a sperm count of only 38 percent. This proves that men should try to consume foods which have very low or zero amount of saturated fats as these are not only bad for their health but also lower their sperm count.

How to get a higher Sperm count?

Consuming whole grain foods and fresh fruits will not only increase the sperm count inside a man’s body, but will also increase the viability and production speed.

One can also consume foods which are folate rich. The foods which are having low folate levels are also responsible for low sperm count inside a man’s body. Lemon, Banana, Peaches, Avocados, Kale and Spinach are full of folate and are responsible for considerable increase in sperm count and viability.
