Ignacio Bugueño

Ignacio is Chief of Staff at the National Congress for the representative of the 10th district of Santiago, Chile. As member of the Global Shaper Community from the World Economic Forum, Ignacio co-founded Latam4, a project that seeks to accelerate the transition of Latin America into the Fourth Industrial Revolution, driving public-private dialogues to push modern public policy. He was member of the Global Shapers first Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee during 2019-2021, where he pushed LGBTQ+ and Civic Engagement issues. In the Santiago Hub, he was Vice Curator for the 2020-2021 term. Ignacio is also a Climate Reality Leader trained in 2020, and mentor in the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Latin America Training of 2021.

Ignacio founded El Switch in 2014, an internet media effort that covered technology, where he served as its Editor-in-Chief. He previously worked as digital producer for Chilevisión at Warner Media, and also as Reporter at AméricaEconomía magazine. Ignacio has been advisor for several eSports industry companies, like World Cyber Games Chile and the Electronic Sports World Cup Chile.

Ignacio has Journalism studies at the Catholic University of Valparaíso and holds an associate degree in Political Communication at the Catholic University of Chile.
