My story traces exploration to impact. A journey to profile green business via documentary film production and new media led to co-founding Bootstrap Compost, a company spearheading residential composting in Boston. Since 2011, Bootstrap Compost has diverted over 160,000 lbs of organic materials from landfills, in turn empowering the local food system.

I’ve worked in a variety of sectors and settings. I’ve produced documentary shorts for Boston Organics, City Year, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and MIT; I’ve been published in Backpacker Magazine and Natural Awakenings; I’ve spoken at Harvard and MIT. Through my efforts, and through my skills in start-up development, communications and film production, I hope I can leave the world a better place than I found it.
