Winning is a state of mind.

One of the ways you can get into this state of mind is by not attaching yourself to the end result.

You can unleash a power that will make your enterprise grow with a simple change in perception, that it's there to serve a higher purpose than the mundane.

You can empower yourself instantly by removing fear.

I'm the author of the e-book"Victory Secrets of Ottoman Turks: Power Tactics & Strategy For Success", a distillation of an important chapter in history for principles that we can use to meet 21st century challenges. It was about two decades ago that Wess Roberts published his bestseller "Victory Secrets of Attila The Hun". Friends asked me at that time why I couldn't write a similar business book but based on Ottoman history since I knew about business and I knew a lot about Ottoman history.

Here it is, a product of two decades of contemplation, thanks to Amazon's e-book revolution and good old American ingenuity.

Although I have an academic background similar to Mr. Roberts', there are big differences between the two Victory Secrets books. Mr. Roberts is an academic who used Attila The Hun as a metaphor to deliver his lessons in good management. I'm a street-smart businessman who learned his lessons the hard way through experience in the marketplace. I've also spent time in courtrooms learning about the law as a lay litigator. Talk about a simulated Medieval reality show! Although the book has strong symbolism throughout, Ottoman Turks are not a metaphor in my case. The book is based on actual historical facts.Ottomans were a group of warriors from Central Asia who established an empire from scratch. How they went about growing this empire into a multicultural state that lasted 600 years could provide some lessons to anyone who's in the rat race or planning to get into it.

If you're beginning to think that the "globalized" marketplace is looking more and more like a Medieval battlefield, that's because it is.

I have a degree in Political Science & Public Administration and over 3 decades of experience in business management, marketing and sales. I started and grew several businesses from scratch on shoestring budgets.

I'm also the author of "What The Airlines Don't Tell You...", an insider's guide to the travel industry.
