Images in Bloom is an art and handcrafted business that sprung from the creative spirit of Steve and Barb Bloom. Our business started with a spark of curiosity… could we actually take our skills, our abilities, and make products for others that we have found interesting, and we would have purchased ourself?

Driven by the economics of unemployment we each began to ply our craft. Steve studied everything he could about soap making, and quickly found his stride, making gardener’s soap – a pleasant minty fresh soap with great natural ingredients and rich lather. Barb had been crocheting plastic bag totes, and found her stride selling a bag or two a week.

That was 2010 – Since then we have expanded the business, and established a small niche for our products. We have soap in several galleries and shops around the Northern Ohio area, and have discovered a specialty market for our shaving soap.

Barb’s silk and wire crochet have been juried into a number of fine art events around town. The style of silk dying that is practiced is a unique form of Japanese binding known as Shibori. This technique is considered the mother of tie dye, resulting in unique floral designs through the binding technique.

Together we love the opportunity to use our skills, create wholesome, well crafted products that make life a little special. We share our home and studio with three dogs, who are very loving companions. Rascal is our senior beagle, and a gentle pup. Samantha is our junior beagle, a sweet and cuddly little girl, and Daisy is our terrior-collie mix we refer to as our Terriorist!!!!
