I am the director of jamlab in Johannesburg, Africa's first media and journalist innovation lab and accelerator programme.

I also research internet and mobile technologies and practices in Africa. Recent projects are Izolo Diaries of the Less Connected which describes how people on low incomes use mobile phones and the mobile Internet and Sometimes It is about the Tech on civil society organisations' use of digital technologies.
