A farm in rural Indiana

I am first and foremost a Child of God, privileged beyond what I deserve and blessed to live in religious and personal freedom. I'm honored to share my humble musings with you.

I live on a farm in a beautiful valley in northern Indiana. We've raised four sons here and we've worked together to grow a family business that provides a needed service to area farmers. Now that they're all grown up, our sons are scattered -- from Chicago to Nashville to Florida -- so I feel like the hub of the wheel, trying to keep everyone connected.

Before "retiring" to teach our sons at home, I worked as a newspaper reporter. Writing my blog The Journey and taking on various freelance projects has fulfilled my creative urge and honed my observation skills. Life is full, rich and rewarding, if we will take the time to stop and "smell the roses."

Dad always told me that the days go by faster the older you get. He is right! So, let's pause and reflect on the people, the events and the moments that inspire and encourage us in our daily lives. Visit my blog at ingridsjourney.com and join me on The Journey!
