I am a Sino-Kadazan-Murut from Borneo, Malaysia. I pride myself for growing up with at least 42 tribes in Borneo, Malaysia; amongst Bruneians, Malays, Chinese and Indian.

Graduated from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and University Malaysia Sabah, Borneo in TESL and Physical Education. Fitness and reality brought me back to the United States Sports Academy for another International Diploma in Scholastic Sports. I was awarded an MSc in Educational Research as part of Uni. of Exeter 3+1 Doctoral Programme and am currently in my second year of my PhD journey.

My research interest is on Comparative Education or International Education. At present, I am comparing multimodal texts designs between Malaysia and the UK; challenging the idea that language and its linguistic features and technicalities, is not the only mode of communication for children to process and produce writing pieces.

I am hoping to extend the theoretical underpinnings of Multimodality in Education; as well as making this extension as heuristic consideration to teachers in Malaysia.
