Isabel was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She is the daughter of two amazing humans: Rodolfo González and Azucena González Monzón. She is married to Aldo Peñafiel, her best friend and partner in holiness. Isabel also has two siblings she loves dearly, Azu & Rudy, as well as their spouses & children.

Isabel enjoys daily prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and mass. She also enjoys journaling, self-reflection, reading, learning, sky-watching, and tea drinking. Isabel's faith in God and her involvement in the Catholic Church is central to her life.

Isabel has a master's degree in Integral Economic Development Policy from the Catholic University of America and bachelor's of science in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso.
