Isaiah L. Carter

Baltimore, MD, but my heart is forever NYC...

If there was a phrase that would best decision that Isaiah L. Carter made to get into journalism, it would be, "Better late, than never."

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Isaiah L. Carter graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in 2000, and after high school dived into various careers, from customer service and marketing, to automotive sales, selling brands ranging from Toyota to Audi, and even a very brief stint in the United States Army. However, nothing has been more impactful, or fulfilling, as his love of writing, especially in the realm of politics and public policy.

Having followed politics since the age of thirteen, Isaiah was once a very staunch conservative, and was a vocal supporter of Republican causes. However, as conservatism waxed more and more extreme in their ideology, it became evident that a change had to be made, and now is proud to stand with progressive causes.

Isaiah is currently attending the University of Baltimore as an undergrad, to be part of the Class of 2016, majoring in Corporate Communications/Journalism, and minoring in Public Policy. Isaiah is also the Politics Staff Writer for UB's campus newspaper, the UB Post. He also is an opinion columnist for the UB Post. Isaiah also writes weekly columns at Open Salon, and writes daily pieces at his Tumblr page.
