Jaclyn Calder
I am a secondary biology and science teacher currently teaching in an alternative secondary school program designed for First Nations students in addition to a section of math at a small secondary school in Penetanguishene, ON.
In the past I have taken on the role of student success teacher and ICT consultant. I was fortunate to have taught in an isolated northern community for many years and now work in small communities where I can participate in projects connecting community and schools. I am in my element when supporting projects that have the ability to reach all students, include outdoor education components or community connections.
I value innovation and entrepreneurship in education and am a strong believer of networked learning, encouraging educators to join in the conversations and direct their own learning. I am currently working on my masters in Education and Digital Technologies.
