Jacki Torres

Santiago, Chile

I have always defined myself by my companies- I am CEO of Global Connex / English Connex, that helps raise the visibility of Latin America and its talent for IT projects, outsourcing and qualified personnel.

However, there are so many other things that define me. Many people know me as an ice skater, others know me as their close friend, the "girl that plays guitar", the "girl that speaks Spanish" (when I'm in US) , "the girl that speaks English" (when I'm in Latin America), the girl that's always traveling to different interesting places, etc.

There are so many facets that have come together that have made me who I am. Most of these have to do with trial and error, lessons learned, people I have met that have inspired me, goals I've set and tried to reach, and incredible places that have deepened my perspective on life.

One of the things I am most proud of, is that I can be just as comfortable in a business suit presenting a plan to the Ministers of a Latin American country on economic development through educational and tech programs, as I am in Mexico with my dear tías making tortillas and playing soccer in the street with all the neighbors.

So, this is me! I am a lover of life!
