John Gilfellon

An Aussie living in London since 2008, laid back, country boy John fancies himself as a bit of a world traveller. Growing up in West Australia from his childhood in the country town of Perenjori to his teens in the suburbs of Perth. After a year in Canada at 22, he swaped coasts to Sydney for a number of years before his latest move to UK.

Had orginally planned to follow a family trend as a tradesman, with an Apprenticeship in Cabinetmaking, meanwhile leaving options open studing I.T. but with a gap year to Canada came a career change to the travel industry. He was quite successful in managing a backpackers hostel during his time in Sydney, and continued in travel in London.

Along with backpacking so far throughout his native Australia along with Canada, USA, Europe, & Asia including his favourite getaway Japan. And getting his hands dirty getting back to to his tradesman ways, John loves the outdoors & been know to be a pretty good swimmer. Loves sports including watching the World Rally, following his beloved West Coast Eagles in Aussie Rules Footy, and is a diehard Perth Wildcats fan in the Basketball. He also loves movies, listening to music and of course spending time with his friends.
