Jaime Stein
Community Leader in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
I'm dedicated to building stronger communities through strategic leadership and meaningful action. As a Vancouver native who has lived across Canada and worked globally, I bring a unique perspective to community building and public service. This was demonstrated through my candidacies for Vancouver City Council with ABC Vancouver and as the BC United representative for Vancouver-Langara, where I advocated for enhanced healthcare access, educational excellence, public safety, and economic growth.
My background in technology leadership has equipped me with valuable experience in driving organizational transformation and building global relationships. As Head of Customer Success at BroadbandTV, I led a department that achieved record-low creator churn rates and exceeded sales targets by 115%. At Taplytics, I reorganized the Customer Success organization to deliver 98.5% gross revenue retention during the pandemic, while at Hootsuite, I led strategic engagements across 14 countries that drove $12M in enterprise revenue.
Healthcare advocacy is deeply personal to me. After losing my father to leukemia in 2006, I partnered with Canadian Blood Services to raise $12.5 million for establishing Canada's national public cord blood bank. As a board member of CLEAR, I continue to champion critical Alzheimer's research in B.C.
In recognition of my community contributions, I was honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025.
My professional journey has been enriched by continuous learning. I'm currently participating as a 2024 Wexner Fellow, joining an exclusive cohort of Jewish leaders in Vancouver focused on community leadership. I previously served as Co-Chair of the Global Advancement Board at the Rotman School of Management, where I earned my MBA and was selected as valedictorian. My foundation in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University, combined with my experience as the radio voice of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, has shaped my ability to communicate effectively and build meaningful connections.
In 2024, I chaired the Public Affairs Subcommittee of the Antisemitism and Israel Crisis Response Team at the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, working with elected officials to develop public policy that strengthens our community's safety and security.
Based in Vancouver with my wife and three children, I'm passionate about creating lasting positive change in our community that will build a more prosperous and inclusive society.
