Jamie Pettit

I am an experienced records management specialist with over 6 years working with highly-secure and confidential information, having spent 3 of those years working in higher education. Higher Ed is truly my passion because I have seen the opportunities that come from going to college, and I especially have a soft spot for non-traditional students. Having been a non-traditional student myself, I understand the struggles that these students face with confidence in their ability to succeed in a post-secondary environment. I also know how absolutely life-changing the entire college experience can be, because it certainly was for me. Helping people succeed in spite of adversity is what motivates me.

Currently, I am a Student Records Specialist at Rasmussen College in their Centralized Records Department. I have been with Rasmussen just over a year, and I love my job very much. I work with letters, transcripts, reports, and Excel spreadsheets- things that are my favorite. I have a sharp attention to detail that has been a hindrance to other jobs, but in records management, it is an asset. I get to be as meticulous as I want! I also have amazing, encouraging, and committed co-workers, along with an admirable team of leaders. I am truly lucky.
