I am a freelance magazine writer, and I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), a degenerative autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Soon after I received my diagnosis and retired from corporate America, I started a blog to help educate people about MS.

I participate annually in the National MS Society's Walk MS to help provide services for people with MS and their families, and to help fund research to find a cure for this debilitating disease.
