Jasmine Kent
Fort Lauderdale FL
My name is Jasmine Kent and I am an aspiring Industrial Designer with a background in Architecture and Spanish. I fell in love with the thinking and creative process of industrial design through my various cluster courses at Georgia Tech; those included Visual Design Thinking, Introduction to Design Computing, Sketching, and Advanced Sketching. The intuitive, fast-paced, and iterative design process aligns with the different facets of my personality. I am very outgoing, competitive, and impulsive, which might seem like a fatal combination, but actually result in unique, compelling designs.
With my multiple involvements in Georgia Tech Track and Field, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the Georgia Tech Chapter of the National Society of Minority Architecture Students, I have gained skills in community outreach, social media management, visual branding language, and networking skills. I've had experience with many different things, but my passion resides in product and brand design. As I continue on my journey, I hope that all my designs will positively affect and enhance the quality of life of my community. I want to be a one-of a kind designer of products and brands that are functional and legendary.
