Spring, Texas, United States

I am currently an IT systems administrator and product manager SDI, an international independent software vendor based in Houston, Texas.

After graduating from Mansfield High School in 1996, I joined the United States Army and trained as a 77F with the Quartermaster Corps. As a petroleum supply specialist, I was stationed in Camp Eagle as a detachment of the United States Army Garrison, Headquarters Company. I operated a hot-refuel point servicing G. Company and the Sixth Cavalry, including OH-58 Kiowa, UH-1H Huey, AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Blackhawk, and CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

After separating from the Army I worked as a yardman for a heavy equipment dealer, attended a semester of college at University of Texas Arlington, worked as a warehouse worker for two years, and several years was a retail salesman. After a brief stint managing two retail stores, I returned to college.

I graduated Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.S. in Political Science in 2010. My minor is in computer information systems. While attending SFA my department sent me to two student conferences; one at A&M and another at West Point. I also presented a paper at the Southwest Social Sciences Convention in 2010. For two years I also was a nationally accredited level 1 SI for the Political Science courses required by Texas.

I graduated from the University of Houston in May 2014 with a M.A. in Political Science with a focus in American politics and statistical methodology. I completed the course work for a Ph.D. in Judicial Politics and passed the oral exams. Technically A.B.D, (all but dissertation) I decided to leave academics and pursue other interests.

I live in Spring, TX with my wonderful wife Casandra Wright and our two dogs Kelli and Coffee.

Interests include the usual geek repertoire such as comic books, movies, reading, television, technology podcasts and blogs. I post silly photos of my desk when bored.
