For the past five years, I've taught math and computer science at the middle school and high school level. Before that, I worked in the Indiana community college system, where I managed an exam proctoring site and taught algebra.

I'm also an occasional participant in the local film and community theatre scenes; I've appeared as Zane the Delivery Guy in Joshua Hull's fantastic "zom-com" feature Beverly Lane, written and recorded scores for several short films, and written two shorts -- a science fiction piece called “The Fresh Air Will Do You Good,” and the popular Christmas short “Waffles for Virginia.”

I'm originally from Chicagoland, but now I live in the Indianapolis suburbs with my wife Patty, a nurse, and my son Colin, a tornado.
