Jay Jones

A medical professional with more than a decade of experience, Jay Jones works for Drs. Mori, Bean and Brooks, PA (MBB), a practice that provides quality radiological services to the Jacksonville, Florida, region. As the largest radiological establishment in the area, the practice furnishes care services to thousands of patients annually from its numerous hospital and out-patient locations. As a radiologist, Jay Jones helps MBB interpret the results of CT and MRI scans in addition to mammograms and ultrasounds.

Before he began working at MBB in 2005, Jay Jones amplified his radiological expertise from 2003 to 2005 at Mid-Carolina Radiology of Sanford, North Carolina. From 2002 to 2003, he assisted patients at Williamsburg Radiology in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Jay Jones started out his academic career at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he studied biology and chemistry. He received early acceptance into Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Jones then began his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He was the Chief Resident there from 2001 to 2002.

In recognition of his radiological skills, Dr. Jones received the Ellen Shaw de Paredes Breast Imaging Scholar Award. Moreover, he co-wrote a study published in the peer-reviewed, scholarly journal Pediatric Radiology under the title “Adult Diseases in Children.” A professionally engaged individual, he recently earned his Maintenance of Certification from the American Board of Radiology and served on an executive committee overseeing a radiological department.
