
Jim is a technology manager at Gallup Inc. in Omaha NE, where he oversees some of the Oracle and Microsoft platforms as well as the staff that supports them. He serves on the Gallup Federal Credit Union Board and is the Chair for the Heartland OUG which was reestablished in 2009.
Jim is the voice behind The Average Guy Blog and Podcast Network. He hosts the weekly Home Tech, Fitness Tech and Financial Tech Podcast at TheAverageGuy.tv. He also is the host of the weekly Spartan Radio.
He has been a Windows Home Server enthusiast since 2007 and was named a Microsoft MVP in April 2011 for his work in the WHS community. He podcasts for the Home Server Show on most Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM Central time.

He and his family (Sarah and 5 children) have lived in Nebraska since 1992.
