I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I earned a B.A. with a major in Mass Communication from Dillard University. At school, I was co-editor of the school newspaper, The Courtbouillon. My experience with Adobe InDesign helped me on the job at Business Cards Tomorrow. There, I designed stationary for spot and full-color printing. After graduating from Dillard University, I pursued my passion in video games. I moved to Orlando, Fl and graduated from Full Sail with an A.S. in Video Game Design. I was named "Advanced Achiever" of my class. I moved back to Louisiana in 2008 and worked as a graphic artist for Paragon Casino Resort. I designed: duratrans, rack cards, concert badges, direct mail postcards, and posters. I also helped maintain the property's website using HTML and a proprietary CMS. I assisted in coding, testing, and launching e-mail campaigns. I also assisted in a rebranding campaign which required designing all collateral based upon agency mockups. I moved into the Administrative Assistant position in which I prepared financial reports, purchase orders, invoices; and coordinated requests for my team of graphic artists. I then began a job on the other side of production with a vendor of Paragon, Signs . There, I designed: vinyl stickers, banners, screen printed signs, and full color promotion backdrops mounted on gator board. I also helped run the shop while the owner and installer were away. I worked with a CRM to keep track of proofs and billing of customers. In 2012, I began work at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT as an Internet Marketing Specialist. My duties included maintaining six corporate websites using a variety of tech. The website for the Pennsylvania property used HTML & CSS, PHP, and jQuery to help emulate the functionality and navigation of a proprietary CMS. I built and launched online promotions and associated emails in Responsys. We launched a mobile app which is available on Google Play and the AppStore. We also rebuilt the websites for both main properties in Adobe CQ.
