As a modern and possibly would be Renaissance man, I move easily between the world of 19th and 21st century technology. Using 100 year old plus cameras and lens to latest computers, digital cameras and software optimizations like photoshop. This image is a scan of 8x10 negative, with agitation marks almost makes it if made with almost 100 year old Kodak 3D a wooden 8x10 view camera hard to keep sharp in Prairie Winds . I'm happiest immersed in the using old and new processes with objects of great technical advances in any century enhances the production of my art.

Design aesthetics are a part and parcel and appreciation of fine, so called "antique" cameras and lens.

Newspaper photographer in high school because I was "technically inclined" and moved to California and studied photography at OCC in Costa Mesa and finished BA in English Literature @ Cal State Stanislaus. Twenty-nine years in IT for Federal and corporate clients including Fortune 50 companies. Up time records from old PDP-1170, a big trick in the old hardware to Sun DAVOX and Aspect ACD for Sprint where it was not a given. Picked up 15 hrs of graduate Telecommunications Management from University of Dallas and 1 semester of system analysis at Marymount U. when living in "northern Virginia" / Arlington for 3 years Attention to detail and a native understanding of machines...
