JEFF KAUFMAN is an award-winning multiplatform journalist, writer, producer/showrunner, and host; and journalism educator.

He produces and anchors HI-DEFINITION NEWS, which won the RTNA's Golden Mike for Best Radio Newscast in Southern California for 2015. As a news director, executive producer, writer, reporter and anchor at TV and radio stations in Southern California and Colorado, Kaufman has produced newscasts and long-form programs that have earned Emmys, Golden Mikes and awards from The Associated Press and the Los Angeles Press Club.

For three years, Kaufman was broadcast producer of CBS' "Entertainment Tonight." He has also been executive producer/showrunner of prime-time network and cable nonfiction series and specials. He's even had a hand in some "fake news:" on the small screen, he was technical adviser to Aaron Sorkin's HBO series, "The Newsroom" (2011-2012); on the big screen, he provided script and performance guidance for scenes depicting TV news anchors and reporters in Michael Mann's thriller, "Heat" (1995).

At California State University, Long Beach, Kaufman advises the student news staff at K-BEACH Radio. In 2015, he became an adjunct journalism lecturer at CSULB, teaching courses in news writing for broadcast and online media. He has also taught at his alma mater, USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Kaufman leads STORY INDUSTRIES, which works with a Select group of Media, Corporate, Non-profit and Individual Clients to Create Content, Build Brands, Sharpen Staffs and Streamline Systems.
