Jemima Jefferson

Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Meditation Teacher, and Wellbeing Coach in London, United Kingdom

Jemima is passionate about helping people learn how to support someone who is showing signs of mental illness or mental distress.

Through meditation she shows how we can all develop ongoing joy in life regardless of our circumstances.

A graduate in Psychology, and trained also in Counselling and Psychotherapy, she uses her knowledge and experience to support her work.

Her interest in supporting good mental health in the workplace when working in the corporate world drew her to Mental Health First Aid and sparked her interest in becoming a Meditation Teacher and Coach.

She had over 20 years’ experience of working in investment banking, insurance, government and consultancy mostly in Diversity & Inclusion which also informs her work.

The founder of the Gay Women’s Network was another achievement and she loves raising awareness in all areas of diversity with a focus on mental health, wellness and disability - she developed one of the first disability networks in investment banking and started the conversation around mental health and mental illness in 2005 - many years before it became common to do so.
