Reeves is passionate about social media strategy, digital literacy and advocacy. She is a digital communication expert and trainer. Reeves is currently the digital director for a major state university and runs her own consultancy. Previously, she worked as a digital strategist at AARP and spent years working in the journalism world. Reeves managed KOMU-TV8's online properties and taught digital and social journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Reynolds Journalism Institute Fellowship in 2008-09. Reeves speaks on the power of social media in business, non-profits, journalism and the higher education world.
Reeves also co-founded a disability advocacy community and 501(c)3 organization at Born Just Right with her daughter. The site evolved from a blog and community into a nonprofit that is focused on providing STEM and design skills to children as an opportunity to use their disabilities as an advantage. The two released a book in 2019 through Simon & Schuster's Aladdin and Jeter Publishing imprints.
Reeves is married with two kids and two dogs. Reeves is a fan of technology, enjoying the lake in her backyard and photography.
