Reeves is passionate about digital media strategy, digital literacy and advocacy. She is a digital communication expert and trainer. Reeves runs her own consultancy, Just Right Strategy. Previously, she worked as the digital director at the University of Missouri, a digital strategist at AARP, and spent years working in the journalism world. Reeves managed KOMU-TV8's online properties and taught digital and social journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Reynolds Journalism Institute Fellowship in 2008-09. Reeves speaks on the power of digital media in business, non-profits, journalism and the higher education world.

Reeves also co-founded a disability advocacy community and 501(c)3 organization Design With Us with her daughter. The site evolved from a blog and community into a nonprofit organization focused on providing STEM and design skills to children, offering them the opportunity to leverage their disabilities as an advantage. The two released a book in 2019 through Simon & Schuster's Aladdin and Jeter Publishing imprints.

Reeves is married with two kids and two dogs. Reeves is a fan of emerging technology, enjoys spending time at the lake in her backyard, and is passionate about photography.
