Jenna Isler Grossman, is a Teaching Artist/Theatre Educator based in the Greater Chicago area, working with arts education organizations, spreading knowledge, creating plays and opening minds

Jenna graduated from Emerson College with an MA in Theatre Education MA , with a license to teach Drama, all levels, in the State of Massachusetts (and states with reciprocity) in 2015. While in grad school, Jenna has worked on projects with the Accessible Theatre Company, Little Dinos Productions, and Israeli Stage, in addition to leading residencies at local schools and student teaching at the Boston Latin School . Jenna has been teaching Hip Hop Shakespeare, Sound/Foley Art, and other workshops all over New England and in Michigan. Jenna is teaching Middle School Drama at the UChicago Laboratory Schools this

Jenna's dream is to bring Shakespeare and classics to young people from a literary, historic and theatrical perspective, and to instill a love of storytelling in children of all ages.

Jenna has worked at and taught with the education departments at professional regional theatres across the country including:

  • The Viola Project, Chicago IL
  • The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Madison, NJ
  • The Children's Theatre Company, Minneapolis MN
  • The California Shakespeare Theatre (Cal Shakes), Orinda, CA
  • The Portland Stage Company, Portland, ME

Jenna is the Founder of Much Ado About Outreach, a student-run theatre education/outreach program that brings Shakespeare workshops of varying levels to youth in Tompkins County, NY. MAAO is still in operation at IC today.

In her spare time, Jenna loves to read, write and adapt plays, play the harmonica, act, and hike. She is also fond of dinosaurs.
