A resident of Chicago, Illinois, Jerome Eberle has served in a number of editorial and associate positions in past years, contributing his expertise to the publishing industry. While working toward his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from North Park University, he accepted a position with the university as an Admission Counselor and Communication Associate. Responsible for recruiting and interviewing transfer students, Jerome Eberle worked to accommodate incoming students and inform them on all matters pertaining to housing, tuition, admission policies, financial aid, and general school policies. Additionally, Jerome Eberle supported both the Vice President for Admission and the Director of Communication with assistance on various tasks, including writing and editing the department’s newsletter and scheduling seminars.

After receiving his degree, Jerome Eberle accepted a position with the American Library Association (ALA) as a Member and Customer Service Associate, holding responsibility for such tasks as editing internal documents, checking for report accuracy, and acting as a member of several customer service task force committees. Working to enhance the ALA’s website’s content and the organization’s database, Jerome Eberle assisted with the implementation of a paperless workflow system and an online store.

Most recently, Jerome Eberle took on the position of Editorial Assistant for Booklist magazine, an American Library Association publication that is highly regarded among booksellers and libraries across the nation. In charge of initial editorial reviews and general magazine content for the Adult Books section of the magazine, he effectively served as the contact for over 30 reviewers. Today, Jerome Eberle continues his work as an industry professional and recognized editorial expert.
