Jeronna Hansberry
Teacher, Writer, and Public Speaker in Elmwood Park, IL
I am an educator currently living in Elmwood Park, IL. I have worked as a general and special education teacher and school and district leader for twenty-five years. I serve as an advocate for students with diverse needs and their families. The call to advocacy is personal to me. My sister, Ericka had multiple severe disabilities her entire life. I watched my parents advocate for her care and education at a time when it was not easy. I have continued their outreach with the students, teachers, administrators, and families I work with on a daily basis. I have had the pleasure of seeing students reach academic and social/emotional gains that many believe were impossible. I leave students, families, and schools with the confidence and knowledge that anything is possible. My work includes experience as both a general and special education teacher, Principal, Case Manager, Director of Special Education, Instructional Coach, and Educational Consultant. When I'm not working, I am having fun with family and friends. My interests range from movies to cooking. I am also interested in travel, fashion, and music.
I can be reached at the phone number above for education consultation in all capacities: IEP Meetings, Due Process Hearings, State Complaints, Mediation, Initial Placement, Instruction, Classroom Management etc. Feel free to leave voicemail or text messages.
