Jessica Lahey is an educator, writer, and speaker. She writes about parenting, education, and adolescence for the New York Times, the Atlantic, and her own blog, Coming of Age in the Middle. She is a commentator on Vermont Public Radio and has appeared as a parenting and education expert on Fox and Friends, The Today Show, WNYC’s The Takeaway among others. Her book, based on the Atlantic article "Why Parents Need to Let Their Children Fail," will be published by HarperCollins in fall 2014.
