Jessica Smith is a teacher, librarian and poet. Her scholarly interests include book arts, small press publishing and acquisitions, continental philosophy, and contemporary experimental poetry.

Smith earned her B.A. and M.A. in Comparative Literature and M.L.S. at SUNY Buffalo. In addition to teaching Composition and German literature, she worked as a freelance archivist for the Poetry Collection and Charles Bernstein's correspondence for the Mandeville Special Collections Library; she also served as Project Manager for a digital archive of Buffalo-area poetry and art and archived materials for NYPL through Internet Archive.

Smith's poetry includes Organic Furniture Cellar and multiple chapbooks; she founded name and Foursquare magazines [1].

Currently the Library Department Chair at Indian Springs School, Smith curates the Visiting Writers Series [2] and teaches World and Feminist Literature.
