Jesús Revuelta

Creative Director at DoubleYou (Barcelona)

At the age of 4 I used to say "why?" every time I spoke. I was very curious. And my father, very patient. He tought me how to reason and to think.

At 18, I emigrated to Bilbao to study Advertising and PR. The text that most impacted on me was writen on every mailbox: "No advertising". Basques tought me that commercials bother.

At 22, I offered myself to work for free at the offline agency Bassat, Ogilvy & Mather –and to many other agencies that thought the treat was not very profitable-. Some months later, they rewarded me with a contract at OgilvyOne & Interactive. They tought me to persever.

At 23, I signed up at the Viral, Digital and New Media Course imparted by Tomás Ferrándiz (BBDO) and Dani Calabuig (Seisgrados). They showed me that it's possible to make advertising without bothering too much.

At 24, I joined DoubleYou, where I've confirmed that I don't like advertising, but that there's a little margin to change it from inside. In this 5 years, I've realized that what I really like it's to be as useful for people as I'm supposed to be for brands.

I've invented nothing. But I'm keen on copying, transforming and combining. That's the only creative technique I know.

You can have a look on the most awarded projects I've been involved working for brands like Atrapalo.com, Nike, Mahou, Vodafone or ING.
