My blog updates every Monday. (But that’s not to say some weeks I won't post more if the mood strikes!)

I am a relatively new nail art enthusiast who has quickly been consumed. I began my obsession, or what I call a ‘hobby’ to outsiders, in December of 2012. Prior to this, my nails were in a sorry state of affairs. I never cut, trimmed, filed, moisturized, or did any maintenance to my digits. My nails were jagged, ranging in lengths from stub to coke nail, and to put the nail in the coffin (ha), if I did paint my nails, they chipped or peeled within a day and I simply waited for the rest of the polish to wear off.

I have seen the light however and have been firmly converted into a Laqurista. I collect polish, stamps, tools, beads, glitter, and anything I can get my hands on that is used in nail art. I’ve finally begun to swatch my 100+ collection and decided to start a blog about my attempts, both good and bad. I want to document the process so that others can get inspired or can learn from my mistakes. It won’t always be pretty, but its all part of the hobby. Nothing compares to the feeling of a stranger asking where you got your nails done and you replying, “I do my own nails”.

While I’ll be content simply having this blog for my own memories, I hope that somewhere out there someone can appreciate why some people consider this an hobby, or an obsession to fellow polish enthusiasts.
