"Fish don't know they live in water." Zen Saying
Hi!
I am a principal at École Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys, in Calgary, Alberta.
I support and guide a great team of teachers devoted to their students. We are in a francophone environment. We challenge learning to address challenges and grow with them. We figure out ways to keep improving in the day to day experience and make 21st Century skills a goal to student's learning.
I love technology in learning, exploring new knowledge. My list of readings are oriented on new theories or practices like serious games, coding/robotics for learning, the distributed cognition and the artificial intelligence. The #Innovator's Mindset, from G. Couros, inspires me to grow my perspectives in leadership and helps me supporting my colleagues in the same way.
We are living in an exciting time. It is very rewarding to be a learner today, and to participate in this learning experiment of life.
I talked to many teachers, locally and provincially in the last 20 years, in french and in english. I participated/attended multiple conferences on new technologies, 21st Century learning, Adult and Distance learning, Assistive Technology for learning, curriculum development, Inclusive education, LMS development, etc. I have this passion and I believe in this future for our schools. It is a big step for a teacher, but the next step for the learners. As we are all learners, we all have to move forward!
