Born and raised in the Lone Star State, with Mexican roots I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. Having four older brothers encouraged my pursuit and passion for reporting sports. While in college I was able to mentor incoming freshman and follow up with a private research to demonstrate the hardships that low-income Latino families went through in order to pursue an education. Through this independent research study my passion for story telling grew.

I started the pursuit for my dream in Austin, Texas were I had my first internship with the Univision 62 family. Becoming the second fellow for Univision 62 I was able to assist with the newscast by editing shows at 5 and 10pm. I quickly became a video-journalist, photojournalist, and editor for both newscast. I was able to tell stories of the Latino community. Being in the state capital I had opportunities to interview many politicians. Realizing the strength to wear multiple hats I also edited, reported and produce the content for our ACCION DEPORTIVA EXTRA weekly 30-minute sports segment. At the time with a team of three, we turned our content into the Number 1 show among males 18-49.

Deciding to go back to my home town in Dallas, Texas I took an offer to be a Sports Producer and News Producer Assistant. I was Field Producer when President Obama Landed in Dallas, Texas and assisted as an editor for various news segments. I was ready and efficiently moved in a fast paced environment when interviewing Cowboy, Rangers, FC Dallas, Mavericks and Sidekicks. I was the sports team right hand that consisted of two.

Now that I continue my pursuit and journey I realized one thing will alway be the same. I will continue to tell the stories of our communities with dedication, hard work, love and passion.
