Development Communications Professional in Perth, Australia (from December 2025)

I am a development communication specialist and storyteller with more than 15 years of experience advancing animal health, One Health and transboundary disease management across Southeast Asia. Based in Perth, I work at the intersection of science and community, helping governments, international organisations and partners communicate risks clearly and drive behaviour change that protects both livelihoods and food systems.

I have led communication strategies and campaigns for the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, including major initiatives on African swine fever, antimicrobial resistance and emergency preparedness. My work spans behaviour change communication, social media strategy, stakeholder engagement and community-centred approaches that make complex issues understandable and actionable.

I hold a PhD focused on animal health communication, supported by advanced training from Murdoch University, the University of Newcastle and the University of the Philippines Los Baños. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration and evidence. These are traits that have shaped my contributions to disease response, capacity building and strategic communication design.

I’ve been honoured with awards recognising my impact in risk communication and development communication, and I continue to support organisations in strengthening their communication systems. Outside my professional work, I’m a dedicated runner and fundraiser for cancer research, using my marathons as a platform for advocacy and hope.
