J.J. Biasucci

Currently acting as Head Coach at Neo Tao in New York City, James Biasucci began karate training when he was six. Until the age of nine, J.J. Biasucci studied under World Middle Weight Champion Ted Pryor in Hollywood, Florida. Beginning at age 12, he learned the science of Taekwondo from Gus Alvarez. As he progressed into adolescence, J.J. Biasucci joined the U.S. Junior National Team in North Carolina. Here, he learned discipline and respect for his fellow students from TJ Kwon.

After a position as a Close Quarters Combat Instructor for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), J.J. Biasucci dedicated his life and career to the pursuit of a healthier mind-body connection. In this effort, he studied a diverse range of martial arts disciplines. While fighting on the USMC Karate and Boxing Teams, J.J. Biasucci was exposed to Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, knife fighting, and the Art of the Eight Limbs, otherwise known as Muay Thai. Mr. Biasucci has blended the best elements of these disciplines into one comprehensive program at Neo Tao.

Founded in 2008, Neo Tao advocates a holistic philosophy, built on the principle of mind over matter. Clients are attracted to the program to not only lose weight and look better, but to increase their mind-body coordination as well. The Neo Tao system guarantees increased neurological function, in turn enhancing physical strength, flexibility, poise, and balance. Under the guidance of J.J. Biasucci, Neo Tao provides an intense cardiovascular workout that combines Yogic breathing exercises and martial movement that increases Chi Flow. Mr. Biasucci’s clients learn to listen to their bodies in order to achieve a more Zen state.

J.J. Biasucci teaches five martial arts training systems at Neo Tao: Thai boxing, Clubbells, Taekwondo, Budokon, and jujitsu. He received his own training in jujitsu through Romero "Jacaré" Cavalcanti in Atlanta. Several jujitsu practitioners consider Jacaré’s program to be the "Harvard of jujitsu." Mr. Biasucci holds a 7-3 submission record in fighting and sport jujitsu. In addition to his background in jujitsu, J.J. Biasucci earned certification from the International Sports Sciences Association and is a Budokon Certified Instructor.
