Born and raised in San Diego, CA, I spent several of my teen years in Okinawa, and as an adult missionary service in Papua New Guinea and the Philippines. This provided an invaluable cross-cultural worldview and understanding of diversity within government, community, business, and the ministries I've served since. This led to me earning an M.A. in Global Leadership at Fuller Seminary.

A rather "eclectic" resume has provided a broad understanding of varied and interactive fields - without recognizing a dichotomy between sacred and secular work. Serving in corporate and nonprofit worlds, starting my own business, and having extensive community involvement, I've a broad view of the different sectors and how they can successfully collaborate. I now teach online courses in Organization Leadership at Horizon University.

I’ve been married for 46 years to my wonderful life-mate, Leslie - a 20-year educator - who has put up and partnered with me on our varied path through life and ministry with our four grown children. We live in La Quinta, CA.
