Warsaw, Poland

I am a graduate of the University of Warsaw in cultural studies and the Graduate School for Social Research/Lancaster University. In recent years I have cooperated with several non-governmental and public institutions based in Warsaw dealing with curating and production of artistic, cultural and socio-educational projects, on local and international level. In 2009-2012 I was engaged in the works of the Institute for Public Space Research at the Warsaw Fine Arts Academy, where I have co-led a series of discussions and workshops on the topic of urban space in artistic and social context, I have also organized and coordinated projects and events in the open city space in Warsaw. I have published in several Polish journals and magazines. Currently I hold the position of the Foundation for Public Space Research TU president and I cooperate with organizations and institutions in Warsaw and Berlin.

In my work I am trying to combine both fields - the cultural and the social one - to explore new trends in the development of cultural organizations/institutions/projects, the concept of openess in relation to city space and more participatory culture on various levels: bottom-up, non-governmental, public or private.
