With a twin as my best friend, I was born in Ocilla, Georgia and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. With degrees in Economics and Education, I have spent the past 40 years empowering women and girls to LEVERAGE their life and business as philanthropists. For this endeavor, I have won local, state, national, and international awards.

As an award-winning entrepreneur, educator, and philanthropist, I am very passionate about recruiting other women entrepreneurs to give back by helping EDUCATE, MENTOR, and EMPOWER girls! As the Founder and CEO of Essence of a Lady, Inc,, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, I have spent the past 25 years emphasizing why women should volunteer, mentor, and advocate for girls. With the collaboration of schools, community and national agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, we have provided hundreds of economically-disadvantaged girls with program and mentoring support to help them grow socially, physically, financially, and academically. To celebrate growth, each year Essence of a Lady presents a culuminating event called the FEMALES are FABUOUS Conference, where girls and women of ALL ages come together to be pampered, fed, and empowered!
