Joanne Biafore

Radiologist Dr. Joanne Biafore currently practices at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. She primarily works in the Women’s Center, where she maintains responsibility for screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic and ultrasound-guided core biopsies, and gynecologic ultrasounds. She also provides care within the general radiology department, where she works with a broad range of imaging modalities. Dr. Joanne Biafore has prior experience as a radiologist with Emory Johns Creek Hospital and Fayette Medical Center, both in Georgia. She also maintains memberships with the Society of Breast Imaging, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American College of Radiology.

Dr. Jo-anne Biafore earned a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.D. from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. She completed additional training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, undergoing a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in nuclear medicine with additional training in mammography. Dr. Biafore also served as Chief Resident of Nuclear Medicine at Emory University and has published articles in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
